Maintenance Attendant


1. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. 2. Gather and empty trash. 3. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. 4. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. 5. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. 6. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks7. Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. 8. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings. 9. Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation. 10. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. 11. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. 12. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. 13. Performs other duties as required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience2. 1. Must be able to walk, climb stairs

2. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch

3. Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push

4. Must have good near and far vision

5. Must be able to hear, talk, smell

6. Must be able to lift & carry up to 50 pounds

7. Majority of duties performed indoors. Noise level moderate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
