Manager, Group Sales

Job Description: The Dolphins have recently completed a $500 million stadium modernization and in 2016 were nominated for Sports Business Journal's Sports Team of the Year Award. The team has seen record growth in ticket sales and has become recognized as one of the premier organizations to work for in sports. The Manager of Group Sales will be responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, motivating and coaching the Group Sales team. The manager will report up to the Group Sales Director and will be responsible for a large increase in Miami Dolphins group tickets.  The ideal candidate will enjoy being active on appointments and meeting group leaders throughout the South Florida market and assisting visiting team fan groups. The person in this position will be responsible for developing and implementing a sales initiative designed to meet or exceed the annual sales goals set forth by senior management.  Duties & Responsibilities: Revenue Generation:  o    Direct revenue responsibility around the selling of group tickets   o    Responsible for delivering on revenue target  o    Develop strong relationships with group leaders in South Florida Strategy:  o    Responsible for the recruiting, hiring and professional development of group sales team   o    Assist in the development of the "go-to-market" strategy & group experiences   o    Lead regular staff meetings and facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing sales revenue and professional development of the team  o    Work with other managers to develop strategic call campaigns, new sales packages, and opportunities for new sales. Process:  o    Monitor, manage and evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis; establish and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals and follow up with appropriate feedback and direction for development.   o    Assist with Group Sales events, programs and initiatives  o    Provide weekly training to sales team Job Expectations / What Defines Success:  o    Meet and exceed revenue & overall group ticket goals  o    Create a positive and enjoyable sales culture  Qualifications:  o    Minimum of three (3) years of experience in group sales or collegiate and/or professional sports team  o    Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.  o    Results oriented leader with proven ability to motivate people and maximize revenue production.  o    Proven track record in ticket sales  o    Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
