UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is looking for an energetic and organized Program Manager to join our Miami Gardens Landing Systems team. Incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the customer support representative allocated to the assigned platforms, and ensuring that executable program plans, schedules, and budgets are in place to meet deliverables across all assigned programs; from order entry to shipment and billing, and that planned actions/milestones are met. The Program Manager will Interface with our customers and suppliers on program specific issues, schedules, processes and activities.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own all program aspects; from the proposal to the delivery and collection phases.
  • Assist in the development of detailed sales forecasts aligned with short and long term strategic plans as well as maintain strategic customer profiles.
  • Monitor the contracts financial performance and report short falls in programs and develop appropriate recovery plans.
  • Manage relationships with customers to support growth and ensure service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead multiple programs with a visible, vital, tactical, and strategic orientation for the formulation and execution of program specific plans and actions.
  • Coordinate and develop required program budgets and then monitor for compliance and budget adherence; develop and implement recovery plans for any activity falling out of compliance and report associated shortcomings.
  • Monitor and report sales status weekly and support the annual strategic plan preparation.
  • Own the New Product Introduction process including the coordination of multiple project teams.
  • Supervise the appropriate and efficient use of all resources allocated to the program.
  • Provide current and accurate promise dates to internal and external customers.
  • Highlight/identify delivery concerns well in advance.
  • Monitor and assist in coordinating cost reduction initiatives within Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Ensure appropriate relationships with all customers and suppliers (external/internal) to facilitate the seamless flow of services and information.
  • Participate in and lead the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial and legal conditions.
  • Identify CI opportunities with respect to the program and initiate events/projects to improve.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A proven track record dealing with customers and sales of Aftermarket products and services is required.
  • A highly motivated and dedicated individual capable of functioning in a very fast paced environment who will be a champion of change; capable of leading continuous improvement in the processes and performance across multiple programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be comfortable reporting opportunities, plans, progress, initiatives, etc. to management, internal/external customers, and suppliers.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant major (Business or STEM) with 7 years of Aviation experience in a landing gear environment or a Master s degree in a relevant major (Business or STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of Aviation experience within a landing gear environment.
  • A history in the landing gear environment that evinces a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant Business or STEM major.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
